If you are like me, finding your passion in life has sometimes been challenging.
On one hand, there are so many things I love to do, and on the other hand... focusing it to one thing that seems to qualify as a strong life passion has been elusive at times. And an added puzzle has been to figure out how I can actually support myself doing what I love.
We know there are people all over the world that are doing exactly that... creating the life of their dreams by doing what they love. So, yes it is possible, and that bodes extremely well for everyone.
People who love what they do:
are more motivated
enjoy their work more
work harder
are more likely to stay with it when the going gets tough
do better work because they put more care into it
And I believe that people living their passion add a certain wonderful light to the world that we all enjoy seeing more of!
I live in an abundant, loving universe which supports me in every way for living my passion.
Article - 13 Ways for Finding Your Passion in Life
This first exercise helps you to see how your passion and skills can potentially work together, and be applied into a rewarding role:
Write down 5 things that you are passionate about.
ex: love computers, research, dogs, working from home, independence
On another piece of paper write down 5 things that you are good at.
ex: good at surfing the internet, writing, talking to people, being sincere, being helpful
Now look at both lists and work with them. Think of at least 3 circumstances that would require some of the skills and behaviors from each of the two lists.
ex: build a website business around your passion - dog care - that would be helpful to others, get involved with a pet care organization that requires a community liaison person, research dog training and start your own business training dogs
This is another tool to help you identify where you are putting passion to work in your life. Book Review - The Passion Test by Janet Attwood and Chris Attwood
Have you read this book? I've just finished it, and felt it's an excellent addition to the personal development library. If you have read it, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Read my review of The Passion Test, and let me know how your thoughts compare.
It's been endorsed by well known authors and speakers including Jack Canfield, T. Harv Eker, and John Gray.
One review spoke of the books value as providing guidance through a simple and effective solution, in order for you to experience a joyful and fulfilling life. It offered the reminder... the solution to losing weight is simple... eat less and exercise more. Yet most people need more guidance than just being told that statement. This book provides that extra guidance for finding your passion in life and living it.
My thoughts on this powerful free personal development seminar are shared on my website. I believe that if you decide to attend, committing to apply yourself fully to the self discovery weekend experience will give you outstanding results.

"Seek out that particular mental attribute which makes you feel most deeply and vitally alive, along with which comes the inner voice which says, 'This is the real me,' and when you have found that attitude, follow it." William James
"You have to find something that you love enough to be able to take risks, jump over the hurdles and break through the brick walls that are always going to be placed in front of you. If you don't have that kind of feeling for what it is you're doing, you'll stop at the first giant hurdle." George Lucas
"Passion, though a bad regulator, is a powerful spring." Ralph Waldo Emerson
