Reading inspirational short stories is one of the most enjoyable methods of personal development for many people. It's like a spoon full of sugar as your medicine!
And now a friend of mine, Chris Cade, has come up with another great way for you to use inspiring stories as a personal growth tool... re-write your own life into an inspirational story of success and fulfillment!
Chris has been using story as a path for self-discovery and spiritual growth. His unique approach has changed his life and the lives of those he coaches.
What if you could use story to get yourself from where you are now to your own storybook ending... the same way authors get their heroes to their happy endings?
Because stories work just like life does: they're fully satisfying when the hero encounters and triumphs over conflict.
Conflict is what makes a hero - what allows him (or her) to discover who he is and what he's made of. There's no happy ending without it.
You can use conflict to achieve YOUR storybook ending as well! It's only when you run away from it that it can defeat you.
I take any 'old stories' from my life where I painted myself as lacking, or victim, or failure, and rewrite them into inspirational short stories that empower me to the 'being of love' that I am.
Article - Inspiring Short Story on Being Non-Judgemental
This is a personal story, with a rather humourous and unexpected outcome. I was as surprised as anyone. Years after witnessing a mans drunken stupor and being very put off by him, I found he played a rather pivotal role in my life.
At present I have a fun project underway and I'd love you to be part of it. You have the opportunity to be involved in a book of inspiration, alongside a number of established authors and international speakers (there is absolutely no cost to you). And… you might be able to 'tick off' one more item on your list of things you hope to do in life!
I am compiling a book of inspirational short stories, and a book of poems. They will be full of tales to encourage people on their path of personal development. Each product will be available in 3 formats; ebook, hardcopy book, and audio.
So... if you have ever thought it would be fun to have an inspirational story or poem you've written, published... now is the time!
This is your opportunity to share that fabulous bit of wisdom that your father taught you, or grandmother, or perhaps your child, or maybe a mentor. It might have even been something you noticed in nature, thundering through lightning bolts, or reflecting wisely from animals you observed. Or possibly it came to you in the still quiet moments of life... whether those moments were the lowest of lows or the highest of highs.
Perhaps it's a story about something that helped you: acknowledge your self worth; pursue your goals; develop your passion in a specific arena; recognize your life purpose; honour your highest set of values; or trust in life.
Whatever the incident, you know it helped you on your journey of becoming a better person in life. And... you can be sure it will help someone else too.
Would this opportunity interest you?
If YES, just submit your inspirational stories and they will be reviewed for inclusion on their own web page, or in the book!
I’m excited to think of all the combined wisdom I’ll get to read from stories submitted. And I know it will have the capacity to positively impact the lives of many others too.

Wayne Dyer tells this short inspirational story about a young student named Teddy. This is another touching story reiterating that judgment has no place in our highest vision of personal development.
Estes shares her view that the most meaningful and longlasting gifts we can give one another are twofold: a strong and true love; and the gift of story. This 30 page inspirational short story is long on meaning. It asks, and then subtly tells you... what is enough.
"Any time a thought, a sentence, or paragraph inspires you or opens up your thinking, you need to capture it, like a butterfly in a net, and later release it into your own field of consciousness." Steve Chandler
"Give a shelterless man tools and he will build a home. Inspire him, encourage him and give him vision, then he will build an empire."
Rick Beneteau
"Inspiration and genius... one and the same." Victor Hugo
