To Boost Your Personal Development

Remember the last time you were having a conversation and certain words hit you with such significance that you knew you had just been given a timely gift for your personal development? It happens to all of us at one time or another. So what causes it, and why doesn’t it happen more often?

Some would say that it has to do with ‘enlightened communication’.

My first introduction with this concept was through reading The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield many years ago. In the book, Redfield explains that by giving our non-judgmental and undivided attention to the person we are listening or talking to, and letting energy flow through us to them, we are encouraging the highest form of communication. This act of being fully present in the moment with the other person allows the energies of the universe to conspire and promote the most important transfer of information to take place. He says that it is only through giving such attention and energy flow that the real pearls of wisdom and knowledge are shared between the communicators. It is like the secret key to open the doors of the truth for one another.

Andrew Cohen, a 21st century spiritual teacher, runs courses on enlightened communication. He has coined it ‘a next step in the evolution of consciousness’. His program describes it as meeting others beyond the ego boundaries that usually keep us separate, and experiencing the oneness of our being while simultaneously feeling a greater personal freedom than perhaps ever before.
