Begs the Question

Begs the question is an odd little saying that almost begs clarification!

Here's a short inspirational story that helps to clarify it. As well, it offers a delightful little reflection for your personal development.

When the Answer Was
Begging the Question

By Mohan Prasad
India

It's nice to have an inquisitive mind that questions everything. However, often we are misled at times by natural over enthusiasm to start questioning things just for the sake of it.

Invariably the genesis of such questions is self doubt.

Here is a short conversation which will throw light on how we seek answers "outside in" when perhaps the answer is "inside in".

He "Hi... I am yet to experience God"
Hermit "Hmmm"
He continued "Can you please explain what is God?"
Hermit "Can you please explain what is experience??"
Silence!!

Well the answer was begging the question.

In the silence, he found the answer of understanding what experience in life is, before becoming inquisitive to know what God meant.

This is just as relevant to mundane aspects of life.

To my mind, experience is living and God perhaps is life.
