Blank canvas
Thoughtful visage
Mindful presence
Poised being

The brush... held
Silent in midair

Crisp morning breeze
Gentle
Patient
Encouraging
Coaxing
For him to go on...

Contemplation.

The many pictures
Crossing his minds eye
Landscapes
Portraits
Flowers
Rivers
People
Things

What a dilemma.

Minutes turn into Hours
And hours to days
Years

The Man morphs into
Another person.
The what-if has altered what-is.

The horizon ... starts shifting Impatient
Yet, Immaculate

The sky robed in orange hues ... heralds the
Fast approaching twilight

With nothing to lose
With a sense of abandon

The man dips
His hands in the raw paint
And
For the first time
In his life as an artist
Feels the canvas

A Masterpiece is born
