Holistic Personal Development

As a later born baby boomer, it's no surprise I was into holistic personal development, and... sprouts and tofu! I was a bit of an enigma as a young vegetarian in the middle of cattle country, and my father always made jokes about the appearance of my sloppy veggie casseroles. :)

The embroidered peace symbols on my jeans told the story of my heart... oh how I wanted the world to get along. My high school year book noted my favorite quote, 'live and let live'.

Through my teen years I was passionate about discovering the philosophic truth of what we are doing here on earth, and how best to live in this world. I searched the bible, through texts of eastern philosophies, learned meditation and yoga,... hoping somewhere to find solutions to this puzzle of life.

I felt sure that the answers to life's big questions were available, yet I couldn't seem to find anything that spelled them out for me in some simple form that satisfied all my questions.

As the years passed it became apparent to me that the solutions are rarely spelled out in simple form. Life and learning requires living and experience.

I now see that my whole life journey is one of holistic personal development, as I believe everyone's is. It always has been and always will be an ongoing discovery for each of us, touching on all dimensions of our human experience:

  • body
  • mind
  • heart
  • soul

There are lots of various ways to group these dimensions of self development, and you've probably also seen them broken down into groups such as:

  • physical
  • intellectual
  • social
  • spiritual
  • occupational
  • financial

Personal Development Foundation

On leaving home and stepping out into the big wide world, discovering the secrets of life became my priority. I prayed, listened, studied, and traveled. I was driven to make some sort of sense of this experience. I wanted answers. One by one, the answers have been coming.

The first answer was revealed within a few years. I had questioned and challenged life enough to become sure of one thing. Yes, you can laugh... one thing might not seem like a lot. But it was a foundation stone. I realized it was the basis for all holistic personal development to build upon.

That one sure thing is that
'love is the greatest creative energy there is'.

Armed with this one powerful bit of knowledge, and a thirst for greater truth, I set off on a journey hitch-hiking across America.

As I stood with my thumb out, life teased back the fabric of illusion to give me a potent experience with the power of love, and a glimpse into our 'oneness'.

Through my personal monomyth experience, I recognized that the individual presence of each of us does indeed impact the people we encounter, and the world... sometimes to an astonishing and unpredictable level. We are definitely all a dynamic part of this cosmic soup.

Personal Mission Development

My personal mission development continues to focus on learning and integrating universal life laws. My aim is to become the highest, most life supporting version of Cathy Johnson Campbell that I can be, and to help others who also want to explore and develop their potential.

My hunger to contribute more to the world has encouraged me to develop in various ways to share information that I've found valuable.

  • The power of simply being - Every single day, in every single encounter, each of us have the potential to positively impact others.

Most often this does not entail any 'teaching' whatsoever. It is simply a great time to practice 'being' the person you most highly respect.

  • Doing personal development presentations - These have been a personal challenge, and give me, as well as the participants, opportunity to learn and grow.

  • As a life coach for personal development - It is always rewarding to see people experience 'aha' moments, and move forward in their lives.

The focus here is to facilitate healthy thinking and empowering beliefs to relieve stress, anxiety and depression... to create inner peace.

  • Through this website, inspired-personal-development - This is perhaps the most satisfying avenue I've found to share my passion.

Whereas I touch hundreds of lives a month in the first three categories, the reach of the internet allows hundreds of people a day to have access to information to help them in their holistic personal development.

This website business is also becoming one of those real online jobs that will fulfill my income needs :).

Holistic Personal Development and Evolution

My vision for the world, and that of my own positive potential, continues to evolve as experience and new discoveries shine light into the previously unknown.

Peace and love are at the core of my focus, and that core lays inside each of us. As the sages have professed through the ages, "peace must begin within". From there it ripples out, ultimately affecting the whole.

As we move forward individually and communally, we are sharing the experience and wonders of our vast potential.

With each wave or our own holistic personal development, we raise the tide of evolution that bit higher. As we grow, humanity grows.

And let's remember, we are creating the experience of life that our beliefs support. Let's learn the art and magic of believing in the very highest we can!
