The Magic of Believing

The idea of the magic of believing is born out of the fact that masterpieces, world architecture, societies and cultures, discoveries, new products, new skills, world records... mans achievements have all resulted from the quaint beginnings of a simple belief. What magnificent and incredible power, and apparent magic, stems from a clear cut belief.

The aura of magic around believing also stems from the fact that it's such an intangible asset. It seems like an invisible power... one that cannot be seen or felt on it's own. Yet the progeny of it takes form, gathers momentum and culminates in the most amazing outcomes.

This concept is fully explored in Part 3 of the free 7 Part e course, The Art and Magic of Believing.

When You Believe

Once set into your life, a belief creates a ripple affect spreading it's influence out into your life. At times the process seems far removed from the causative belief, and the results greatly outshine it's humble beginnings.

It is powerful to remember that the magic of believing:

  1. begins as a thought, an understanding of your world
  2. filters your view of the world based on your developed belief system
  3. determines the lens you use to look at things, and from that creates the emotions that make up your days and your life. These feelings correlate to the beliefs you use to interpret life.
  4. causes you to notice things in your environment that support your thinking. Both your conscious and subconscious review information to find opportunities that relate to your beliefs.
  5. through the work of your 'opportunity filters', leads you to take appropriate action that endorse your beliefs.

In the 1940's Claude Bristol wrote in The Magic of Believing:

"Why belief is a miracle worker is something that cannot be
satisfactorily explained;
but have no doubt about it,
there’s genuine magic in believing."

Now, in the 60 years since Bristol wrote about believing, much more has been documented about why there is magic in believing.

The free 7 Part e course, The Art and Magic of Believing, outlines our present day understanding in greater detail.

  • Part 3 specifically outlines:
    • the 'process' of the magic
    • the time frame from adopting a belief to getting results
    • how emotions and opportunities tie in with what you believe
    • what role your subconscious plays in supporting your beliefs
    • helpful exercises expose non supportive beliefs, and show examples of recognizing empowering counterparts

  • Part 4 further explores the power of belief, particularly as it relates to the body / mind connection.
