When I Just Brushed HIM Aside

by Mohan M Prasad
(India )

I rushed to the temple
Knowing it was closing time

There a beggar stopped me, may be for alms
I brushed him aside as quick with my left arm

Well, the temple had closed by then for the day
With a few devotees strolling out making way

I walked slowly out of the temple
And talked silently making conversation with HIM

"I came all the way to seek you
And you had shut the door from me?"

The voice said "I knew you were coming
And even called for you, waiting outside all along."

Suddenly I turned to catch a glimpse of the beggar a few steps down
But then HE had vanished, not to be seen any where around

I said "Sorry to have just brushed you aside"
The voice replied "Just do not worry.. I am always beside"

Honor Everyone
by: Cath

Thank you for sharing this wonderful reminder Mohan!

It seems easy to get caught up in the web of our own busy-ness, concerns and day to day activities sometimes. And it can be just a small step from there to brushing people aside.

Because of your short inspirational story, I'll focus more at honoring everyone I cross paths with in my everyday life.
